Pure car truck carriers (PCTC) are a type of RoRo vessel with a capacity up to 8000 CEU (Car Equivalent Units), a ramp capacity of 320 tonnes (in WWL’s case) and a deck height up to 6.5 meters. Aside from the dedicated car decks on board to carry normal sized cars, there are also hoistable decks that can be adjusted to make space for larger cargo like trucks, buses, tractors and bulldozers.

WWL’s PCTCs have four hoistable decks.  Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics pioneered the designs that have led to today's state-of-the-art pure car truck carriers (PCTC).
