We published our very first issue of Venture nearly 10 years ago, in 2007, with the ambition “to look at what’s moving and shaking the logistics world in a time of accelerating globalisation and intensified competition”. That ambition still holds true. Adapting to rapid change is more relevant than ever, for us as well as for our customers, suppliers and business partners, which is why we have decided to make this move.
We live in a digital age, where people as well as things are constantly connected through the Internet, and where the means of communication seem to change from one day to the next, offering endless possibilities.
What hasn’t changed is our ambition to share compelling stories from the world of logistics, to showcase smart solutions to logistics challenges, and to provide information that is relevant and useful to you and your business.
You will still hear from us through our monthly email newsletter and our social media channels, continuously updated with our latest stories. We also invite you to join us as we explore new, digital and better ways of sharing best practices, innovative solutions and valuable information. We are grateful to all of you who have taken the time to read our magazine, and we hope you’ll take the time to read the last issue, which is packed with interesting content.
Did you know, for instance, that we played a crucial part in making sure television viewers all over the world got to view their favourite sporting events from Rio in August, or that we offer coastal services in Australia, allowing our customers to ship large volumes of cargo by sea across the continent’s vast expanse?
In this edition you will also read about aspiring car designer Siyuan Fang. This 24-year-old from China recently graduated from the Umeå Institute of Design in Sweden and intends to revolutionise the future of driving, a dream he has had since the age of 8.
Another story you don’t want to miss is our feature about Chinese automaker Great Wall Motors and how it introduced its Haval car to the Russian market. And if you didn’t have all the facts about the new Panama Canal, you will by the time you’ve finished reading Venture 3.
We hope you’ll enjoy the last edition, and let’s stay in touch! Connect with us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, and don’t forget to sign up for our monthly email newsletter on 2wglobal.com.
