The award recognises the project or asset that exhibits the most outstanding leadership and greatest contribution in advancing infrastructure sustainability in Australasia.
MIRRAT has previously received the highest rating for the way the terminal has been designed and constructed from ISCA.
Paul Hand, Managing Director of MIRRAT, said the recognition is another step towards becoming the global benchmark in terminal sustainability.
“We are very proud to have had such dedicated partners on this project who believed in our sustainability vision and worked hard to make it possible,” he said.
Rod Heale, Executive General Manager for Vic/SA/Tas at CPB Contractors, agreed, saying: “Great infrastructure sustainability outcomes can be achieved when the client has a clear vision and then works collaboratively with industry to achieve it.”
The awards ceremony was held on Sydney’s Darling Island on October 25.
