The Breakbulk Europe conference hosted more than 500 exhibitors and sponsors, representing the entire industrial project supply chain. The event has turned into a global fair with participants well beyond Europe’s borders.

In terms of both size and visitors, it was the biggest breakbulk event ever held.

This is the first time the event was held in Bremen, a natural place for the event given its historic shipping roots and access to the key ports of Bremen and Bremerhaven.

Joint exhibition in custom-built booth

Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean (WW Ocean) and EUKOR exhibited together at the event with a new custom-built booth, which provided a great space to discuss business opportunities and the latest industry trends with customers.

Looking forward to the challenges ahead

In addition to exhibiting, the Wallenius Wilhelmsen group’s Head of Sustainability, Roger Stevens, moderated a session titled Ocean-Going Issues covering issues from upcoming Sulphur regulations to sector creep.

The purpose of the discussion was to highlight the scale of the anticipated industry ramifications, including competition, consolidation, fleet ownership and corporate responsibility.
