On behalf of a freight forwarder, WWL delivered a solution for handling, packaging and transporting the aircraft to the wharf and then onto its vessel, Tamerlane. The WWL solution involved using a cradle for packing the main body of the aircraft and innovative ways of securing the rest of the cargo safely on trailers for loading and discharging.

The freight forwarder was a first-time customer and was impressed with the quick and effective logistics solution that WWL offered.

The DC3 aircraft was operational from 1942 to 2010. During those years it carried out various air charter jobs in rough landing areas across Australia and New Zealand.
