Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics is actively working to decrease the environmental impact of our activities and reduce the use of energy and natural resources per transported product. We are committed to complying with all environmental regulations and, in keeping with our frontrunner ambition, we aim to be that vital step ahead of existing and emerging requirements by implementing innovative solutions.

  • Since 2005, we have reduced CO2 per unit transported by about 20 per cent (average of past five years).
  • We continue to improve our reporting capability for our land-based business. The number of reporting sites increased from 24 sites in 2014 to 27 sites in 2015. According to current reports, this resulted in total emissions of 9,212 tonnes of CO2, a 15 per cent decrease.
  • As of 1 March 2016, we have introduced a new policy limiting sulphur content in fuel at berth to <0.1 per cent. We achieve this by shifting to MGO or using scrubbers.
