Name change heralds new era for Wallenius Wilhelmsen2005-12-15 Six years after its formation, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines is set to transform the logistics sector once again. Recognised today as one of the world's leading ocean transport providers, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines has set its course to become a global leader in outbound logistics for finished vehicles by 2010. From January 1, 2006, the company will be fully operational under its new name Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics. The name change reflects the company's expanded service offering to bring the same high standards employed for ocean transportation into the company's broader outbound logistics offering. Nils P. Dyvik, CEO of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, said: "As a customer-driven partner we see that our clients are looking for more integrated logistics services to manage complex logistics networks, new manufacturing locations and different distribution patterns". "Our customers are constantly looking for better ways to improve efficiency and the predictability of global distribution. We will meet this need by tailoring supply chain solutions to create value for customers changing needs. Our ambition is to define the industry standard in delivering these tailored logistics services to the marketplace."
