Coat drive for the homeless

As part of the community outreach program run by staff volunteers, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics employees at our Region Americas head office in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, sponsored a coat drive in 2008.

Approximately 100 new and gently used coats and jackets were collected and donated to the Hackensack Community Center for distribution to homeless men, women and children. To help keep the needy warm, employees also contributed winter hats, scarves.

WWL employees join together year-round to participate in a wide variety of events to help enrich and improve the quality of life for many. In addition to the coat drive, our Woodcliff Lake staff initiated several outreach projects, including a food drive and a holiday toy drive.
