There have been ongoing labor contract negotiations between the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) and International Longshore Warehouse Union (ILWU). As a result, some service disruptions and delays have primarily impacted Container shipping lines in the past few months. Until now, WWL’s RoRo vessels and operations have been largely unaffected.

However, the PMA has issued a vessel operations work stoppage at U.S. West Coast ports for this weekend. Labor will not be available on Saturday February 14, Sunday February 15, and Monday February 16. (Please note that Monday is a national holiday in the U.S.)

Consequently, WWL expects that the weekend work stoppage will result in 2-day delays (or possibly 3-day delays) to some of our vessels on the U.S. West Coast. Please be aware that you can follow vessel schedules online in our Schedules Application.

Should further labor activity lead to additional or unexpected schedule delays or service disruptions, an update will be published.
