The 400 million US dollar expansion will set the stage for volume increases of its existing car models the Legacy and Outback, as well as the new Impreza model.

The increase in production will affect WWL, the carmaker’s logistics provider at the plant.

 The company’s 250-strong workforce provides inplant logistics services ranging from predelivery inspections and accessorisation to yard management and rail loading. To accommodate SIA’s expansion, it aims to double staff number to 500 people.
