In this issue, you’ll learn about the shipment of Caterpillar’s 17-metre longwall shearer from Europe to a coal mine in Australia. It was the first time this heavy piece of machinery was shipped in one piece, and Venture has the whole story, from loading to offloading.

Coincidentally, WWL also recently shipped 152 units of heavy machinery for mining equipment company Joy Global, a move that included sailing to a port outside the regular schedule.

Venture also visits the Port of Hueneme, a popular port on the West Coast of the United States. Here, WWL supports car manufacturers and other customers with a number of services, ranging from ocean transport to vehicle processing. And did you know that WWL has doubled its service from Europe to this particular port, from twice a month to weekly?

Read all about this and more in Venture 1, 2016, and feel free to send us your feedback. We’d love to hear from you!

The next issue will hit the newsstands in June.
