Australians who are interested in buying the new Ford Mustang will have to be patient. There’s currently a one-year waiting list for the iconic car, according to news.com.au, with more than 4,000 people already having paid their deposits.
The new Ford Mustang comes in various models and offers customers a range of features, from advance track with Electronic Stability Control to a Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert. The least expensive one – the V6 Fastback – starts at 23,895 US dollars, while the most expensive– the Shelby GT 350R – starts at 61,295 US dollars.
The first shipment arrived in Melbourne on-board a WWL vessel on December 2, and more are in the pipeline. The cars are being shipped from Detroit to Australia.
The car is said to replace the Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore police pursuit cars as they will go out of production in the next two years, but so far it has not been approved for police work. Until then, the men in blue will have to wait in line with everyone else.
