It is indeed an honour to accept this award on behalf of my CAT-WWL team.
WWL and Groupe CAT’s joint venture, CAT-WWL Logistics, was recently recognised with the Supplier Achievement Award in the Services Category by Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) at its 2013 Annual Supplier Awards Ceremony.
This prestigious award evaluates a supplier’s contribution to TSAM across several key performance categories: safety, quality, cost management, flexibility, continuous improvement and service delivery.
“It is indeed an honour to be able to serve Toyota who, today, is the largest vehicle manufacturer in the world and the market leader in South Africa, and to accept this award on behalf of my CAT-WWL team,” says Karen Radford, Managing Director of CAT-WWL.
CAT-WWL’s association with TSAM began in September 2009 when the company was granted a three-year contract to manage TSAM’s Vehicle Distribution Centre storage yard. Since then CAT-WWL has managed to grow the service scope it offers to TSAM, and in October 2012 TSAM reappointed CAT-WWL for an additional three years. Today CAT-WWL is a key partner for TSAM, offering logistics services and expert yard management solutions for all locally produced vehicles in South Africa (for domestic and export markets) as well as all imported vehicles. CAT-WWL handles around 210,000 Toyota vehicles per annum and employs around 300 people at it’s Toyota operations in South Africa.
