The report shows how we rely on our company values to guide our business conduct and demonstrates our commitment to being an industry leader in corporate responsibility. It also provides an accounting of our progress in upholding the UN Global Compact's 10 universal principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, environment and anti-corruption.
Our system for collecting and reporting social, environmental and economic performance data today does not encompass all of our operations. As we increasingly establish reporting systems to cover more of our operations, we will gradually expand the scope of reporting to include all major areas of activity. However, high levels of engagement are already evident throughout our company as exemplified by the local, regional and global initiatives reported here.
Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics believes that this report accurately represents our company's environmental activities beginning January 1, 2014, and ending December 31, 2014.
“Det Norske Veritas AS (DNV) has conducted a limited assurance third-party verification of the direct greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from WWL Ocean Transportation in 2014. During the verification, nothing has come to our attention that causes us to believe that the GHG emissions set out in the WWL Ocean Transportation GHG Inventory for 2014 and published in the 2014 WWL Environmental and Social Responsibility Report are not fairly stated.”
